The Steve vs Steve fight scene was pretty cool, but this line felt jarring and today I finally figured out why.
Steve never usually delivers this line when he has the upper hand. It& #39;s delivered when he& #39;s down and beat but not quite out. When he& #39;s bruised and bloodied and past the point when normal people would give up.
Steve "I-don& #39;t-like-bullies" Rogers isn& #39;t meant to be able to beat people up all day. This line shouldn& #39;t be delivered with an arrogant sneer as he gets the better of his opponent.
Using it in this context, unprompted and for a gimmicky laugh cheapens the message. It feels grating and out of character.
*This* is when that line should have been used. Broken arm, broken shield, still ready to face an army.

Just more proof that the writers / directors of this movie didn& #39;t care about the characters and just wanted quippy lines, throw backs to the old movies, and shock elements
