Okay so here’s a funny story about my encounter with speaking in tongues
Okay so in 100 Level I mistakenly and unknowingly landed myself in one of those rooms where student-pastors come and pray with other students every night.
When the prayers were about to begin, I wanted to leave but the pastor guy said I should stay because God told him that something special will happen to me in particular.
Five minutes into the prayers, annointing has started carrying everyone in the room, even those ones that went to meet babes that same night (God works wonders), and everyone was ‘speaking in tongues’

The student pastor asked me if I’ve ever been possessed by the holy spirit.
Po-what dear?
He asked if I’ve had ‘a personal encounter with the supreme celestial’
Come again sah?
I said no pls they have not possess me before sah. If you see how everyone was jumping, tumbling on the floor from their own possession.
They didn’t now on fan. So I was sweating from my brain.
Pastor told me I should tell God “I will never let you go unless you bless me”. That is, I will stay here till I join everyone in jumping and shouting ‘kapaichumarimatichupaku’.
He now said I’m resisting it. That the spirit wants to fall on me so I can speak in tongues too but I’m resistant to it.
How can I now be stronger than the spirit plis?
When the spirit didn’t fall on me automatically, pastor decided to do it manually. This guy started using his hand to press my forehead like Saturday bread.
He started asking me if I needed the spirit to fall upon me. Tbh, I didn’t want to be rolling on the floor, but I also wanted to go and sleep...
So I lied to save my life
I’m sure everyone else in the room was already tired of waiting for my own spirit to come and Mr. pastor also saw his forehead push cannot take take down this 300KG mass so he too got tired.
We will try again tomorrow” he said “Alright enough prayers for today. Let’s study the word of God”
Who is ‘us’?
I told him my mother is calling my phone and I have to go plis sir let’s do this next time. He now said they should have a special prayer for me first.
“I hope you’ll be back tomorrow”
“Of course why not? I had a swell time”
By the time I got to my room it was 1 in the morning. Prayer that started by 10.
After that, if I see any room where people are singing “Ekwueme Ekwueme”, I take another route. Pls it’s not by force.
