Ugh...another 3 stars. Wasn’t a fan. I won’t be picking up the second, I don’t think. There were so many plot issues with this book- I just don’t have the time right now to watch the author sort it out. Very disappointed. Searching for a new 5 star read.
YES!!! 4 stars- finally!!! I loved this book and I would suggest any incoming freshman into college read this. I devoured this and I couldn’t be more in love and nerdy than I am right now. I LOVED IT SOOOO MUCH

Get ready for some Joyce recommendations
Story about an Irish girl struggling with the realities of feminine guilt and ambition. This one made me so sad, such a complex character and I enjoyed Joyce’s portrayal of a hardworking woman faced with a life altering decision.
Just finished this a few days ago...it’s so beautiful. Trigger warning: contains Suicide and talk of suicide. It’s a good book for awareness tho
Just as cute as the movie- but I love the dynamic of the family. Also interesting insight of a Bi-racial protagonist and the impact it has on her family life. Also- it’s cheesy and girly as HELL

The ending SUCKS though. They had me until the ending
I will say that it’s slightly boring, though. There are parts where it drags. I enjoyed how Asian culture is portrayed and felt like I benefited from it in that aspect, but also it drags for what feels like 200 years.
