Using lots of popups and generally annoying your users will lead to a high bounce rate and poor performance

Both will hurt your SEO
4⃣ Slow Website

A website that doesn't perform or doesn't render properly on different devices (unresponsive) will hurt your SEO

This will become more and more evident as performance is now an official ranking metric
5⃣ Lack of Planning

In order to be successful with SEO, you need to come up with a plan and pursue it.
