Confirmation bias, also called confirmatory is the tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and recall information in a way that confirms one's preexisting beliefs or hypotheses—while giving disproportionately less consideration to alternative possibilities.

Expose yourself to many different views, and seek disagreement with your current ideas. 4/n
Remove your ego. Sometimes we are wrong and that's ok! This is how we learn. You’re going to have to embrace humility. 5/n
Ask better questions. Listen to the way you ask questions. Are you looking for others to support your reasoning? Or are you being genuinely inquisitive? 6/n
Take in all information and don't jump to conclusions too quick. I give myself a couple days to process information before I decide whether to integrate the new data or discard it. 7/n
Don’t make bold assertions that put others off. This is a sure way to never hear alternative perspectives. No one wants to share their ideas with someone who has it all figured out./end
