1/4 A scandalous and shameful situation at Security Council VTC meeting on #Syria chemical dossier today. After we asked clear questions to #OPCW DG #Arrias to be answered in open format, South African Presidency under clear pressure ruled not to give the DG the floor in the open
2/4 And during the meeting Western states, namely @GermanyUN, who frame themselves as champions of transparency, claimed that by posing questions to Arrias we intimidate him! 
And maintained that he is not supposed to answer our questions in public

3/4 By acting so they proved that they are ready to cover-up irregularities in OPCW at any price, even exposing themselves as cowards and liars. They don’t care about the truth, geopolitics is only thing what matters for them
4/4 This makes things for credibility of OPCW and its findings even worse. After such a scandal no one in sane mind will beleive in these Western fairy-tales on Syria any more! And all the decisions based upon OPCW findings are since now even more in question
