We've been pouring through new Government advice today to work out what a national #lockdown means for university life and for our students.
We've sent an email update to staff and students today, but here's a quick round up

The most important message from the Government is that you should stay where you are living at the moment, in your University term-time accommodation.[3/9]

The Government guidance is that universities should continue to offer blended learning (a blend of in-person & online learning), and this will remain our focus. However, we have been asked to move more teaching online where possible during the lockdown.

Practical face-to-face teaching on campus will continue. Libraries and specialist learning facilities or equipment will also remain open for use.[5/9]

Where there are any changes to your timetable, your course tutors will make you aware. You can also contact your course tutor if you have questions or concerns. [6/9]

We know this news is causing students a lot of stress and anxiety. If you're struggling, we urge you to speak to someone now: go to the Get Support tile on MyGlos, or contact the Helpzones Team on 01242 714444 or helpzones@glos.ac.uk.[7/9]
You should note new rules on socialising:
Do not socialise indoors with people outside of your household
You can exercise outdoors with 1 person from another household
Avoid travelling in & out of your area
You can travel to visit essential shops like supermarkets

Thank you so much to all the members of our #teamglos community!

This is an impossibly difficult time but we can't get through it without the amazing support of our community and of all our team members.
