Throwback to the time I sent a clarinet into space last year.... @TheIET and @BeanoOfficial ran a joint competition asking kids to design an object they’d take to Mars that they couldn’t live without 
The winner, Elin, designed this amazing clarinet! So we built it and sent it to the edge of space using a weather balloon 
Elin was even drawn into the @BeanoOfficial on an adventure with Dennis and Nasher and her modified clarinet design 
Easily one of my maddest and most amazing days as #IETYWE

At around 35km high the balloon popped and it started to fall back down to Earth 
We then drove across the country to track it down

Thankfully it survived the fall and we got some beautiful footage, including the unbelievably cool photo of it against the curvature of the Earth
