Guys, it's over, you blew it.
Movie theaters are not safe. And they probably won't be for a long, long time. I know no one wants to come right out and say that, but it's true. And for studios to just ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯ and hope for the best is negligent and ridiculous at this point.
Again: they had months to work this out. If Walmart can turn some of their parking lots into drive-ins, there's no reason studios couldn't strike up deals with theaters across the country to try something similar.
Instead, everyone just kept hoping that things would magically get better. That TENET could come out in July and save the day. And now here we are, with theaters about to reopen in some locations for shit like UNHINGED and NEW MUTANTS. Fuck off.
Meanwhile, the president is shitposting about tires. This country doesn't have a single fucking idea how to deal with what's going on. But sure, DEATH ON THE NILE will ONLY be in theaters in two months. Yeah. Sure.
