I say this with the caveat that we shouldn’t look at senior care through the lens of profitability — like the post office, it should be a service that we just fund. But the best operators under our current system have found ways to achieve good results and financial stability
If true reform comes and there’s no longer a job for me covering the intersection of senior care policy and finance, I’ll take that as a win and happily find some other way to write about the space.
