#xass is a lighthearted mystery. Puns, jokes, and unbelievably silly plots are the go, especially in the iso version. Too much stuff is going on IRL to get serious here.
#xass is a collaborative story, so listen to the story so far, give others a turn, and make your tweet easy to follow.
max 3 tweets in a row
allow time for ppl to add to their 1st (if they wish)
What else helps make #xass collaborative?
keep it simple
don’t introduce too many characters or new plot lines at once
maintain continuity (character names/locations) within the story

Please don’t use other writers’ twitter handles in #xass unless they make it clear they’re ok with that. Some clues to okayness:
Have they added themselves into the story?
Have they become a recurring character (e.g. Dr Opbear)?
If in doubt, ask (it’s a no from me).
Don’t panic if there are long gaps between tweets. Writers are in all different time zones and have lives off twitter that take them away from #xass (shocking, I know).
Don’t feel pressure to finish the story. It’s great when it works out but ok if not. When we started #xass ages back, a handful of tweets made the story.
Have fun with #xass-iso. We launch in under 3 hours!
