Fuck it. Coming off private for a bit. I cannot be scared into silence any longer. Please know I am doing so at massive risk to my personal safety and the safety of everyone around me. I am so proud of everyone #SpeakingOut & genuinely hope after years of screaming this is CHANGE
Here are some tips on how to be a good ally:
talking about who you want to see belts on next/booking is INAPPROPRIATE - stop
sharing anonymous accounts dramatising situations is INAPPROPRIATE - stop
referring to abuse as drama is INAPPROPRIATE - stop

sharing matches and photos of abusers is extremely triggering - stop
using the hashtag #SpeakingOut is cluttering survivor stories and getting them lost - please only use if appropriate
do not trust any stranger DMing you
predators prey on the weak, we have seen this
stop sharing good guy lists- half the ones I see contain people that I know have done stuff, we are waiting on people to speak up
be inclusive - abuse has happened to all genders and sexualities
stop asking for proof - these people are clever and attack in privacy
Why is this dangerous for me personally? I have an abusive ex and I have never told my story because he scares me - he has power and I wont be believe. I was r*ped and assaulted at 18 whilst asleep by a stranger. From December I have had an ongoing harassment police case.
Please share the ally tweets if you can. I donât physically have the energy to call people out anymore. I just want to be there for all my friends and everyone else who has been affected. This has been met with deaf ears for YEARS now.
